IT's Your Life
Some things you just can’t take advice on. Everything that works for the next person may not work for you. Start analyzing your life and find out what it is that you need for you. If you don’t you’ll be lost chasing what everybody else thinks you should have. Don’t live life trying to keep up with what everybody else says is real, sometimes the “real” for them just isn’t enough for you. You have to be happy according to your own standard. It’s not about what anybody else thinks should be “good” for you. If it doesn’t work for you then it just doesn’t work for you. Don’t dig a hole for yourself in life based on somebody else’s opinions on your life. Be comfortable with the decisions you’ve made and in the direction you’re going, you can’t live for anybody else but you. Just because your friends say you should be with this person, doesn’t mean that’s really the person for you. Just because your family thinks you should make a certain decision or follow a certain path, doesn’t mean it’s for you. Go with what makes you happy, because when it’s all said and done, your misery, mistakes, disappointments, etc., are yours to live with, nobody else’s. It’s good having people in your corner, but it’s only beneficial when you know where you’re going, if not, you’ll stress yourself out trying to please everybody. Listen to your heart and realistically assess the options for your life, find your passion and pursue it. There’s no such thing as too late when it comes to finding joy and happiness. Some people have earned a voice in your life, respect their opinion enough to consider it, just know the final decision is yours. Do what makes you happy, and not just for right now, but do things today that will make you happy 5 years from now.
